Getting to Wolverhampton from outside the UK
Wolverhampton, situated in the West Midlands of England, has excellent road and rail links to central London, but if you are travelling to the UK by air there are far more convenient options than flying to one of the London airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted).
The nearest and most simply linked airport to Wolverhampton is Birmingham Airport, which enjoys a frequent direct rail service to Wolverhampton from the adjacent railway station (Birmingham International), with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes.
The next most conveniently located airports are
- Liverpool John Lennon Airport, with a 15-minute airport bus link to Liverpool South Parkway station, from whence an approximately 75-minute direct train journey to Wolverhampton
- Manchester Airport, with an adjacent rail way station from whence a journey of approximately 90 minutes with one change of train at either Crewe or Manchester Piccadilly
- East Midlands Aiport, linked by bus services to the cities of Derby and Nottingham, though Wolverhampton can only be reached by a more circuitous route than in the case of the options mentioned previously.
Details of train times, prices, and advance booking options can be found at National Rail Enquiries.
